What the Power Team Means to a 3 Year Old

We recently had the opportunity to attend a Power Team event. Our three year old wasn't impressed with their opening act of fire. In fact, he was TERRIFIED of the fire. In spite of the opening scare for him, some of their other acts seemed to impress him.

As I was feeding our youngest child her bottle, 'D' comes RUNNING through our hallway in his fastest speed and immediately stops about 2 inches in front of our GLASS front door....and 'gently' bangs his hands against the glass door. Wondering what on Earth he was doing.....I just continue feeding 'E' and sure enough.....here he comes again, running faster than FAST down the hall and repeats the same procedure. I finally have to ask him, " 'D' what are you trying to do?" He responds, "I'm the Power Team. I'm going to break through the ice!"

5 minutes later I look down in the pile of toys that has somehow ended up in the living room floor. I see 'E's' new plastic drum sticks. There used to be a matching pair. Now I see 1 normal size stick, and a stick that has been broken in half....perfectly. Yup.....you guessed it.....we officially have our own Power Team Member in our house! When I questioned 'D' he said, "Mom, me Power Team." He then went on to show me how he snapped that drum stick in half using his LARGE muscles and his leg!

This post made my day! Therefore, I duly doubly dub you Queen of the 'made my day' award.

(no one said that you couldn't re-get it, Christy)

Yesterday he looked at Daniel's poster and wanted me to name all the guys on the team - like I even know their names!

I guess this takes the place of his Munday Moguls obsession?

Only temporarily!

I just tried to convince him that the Power Team uses their big muscles while washing their hands. It takes those big muscles to scrub all those bad germs off - especially after using the potty!

I hope he was convinced!

I plan to use the Power Team to my advantage as much as possible! Cleaning up, taking turns, eating vegetables (OK, that's a stretch!!!)

That is too funny! I can't believe he really broke the drum stick. The boys at school can't stop acting like they are on the PT either (I'm sure you've noticed) and the girls can't stop crushing on Kevin. It's really amusing.
