Lately I've been letting the kids look through the stack of Christmas Catalogs that seem to arrive in abundance these days. Tonight Bubba was looking through the most recent JcPenney Gift Catalog. Bubba and I had this conversation:
Mom: What do you think Santa should bring you this year?
Bubba: This, and this (as he points to everything on every page!)
(I gave up writing his 'wants' on a list b/c it turns out he wants EVERYTHING on EVERY page of EVERY catalog!)
Okay, back to the conversation:
Bubba: Mom, we just had Christmas. Member (that's Bubba's word for remember) when he brought me that drum set last time?
Mom: Yes, I remember that! (I also remember that Dad almost had to get some stitches in his hand b/c he cut it with the pocket knife while trying to assemble the drum set on Christmas morning!)
Okay, sorry...back to the conversation:
Bubba: I think Santa will be blue this year mom!
Mom: Blue?
End of Conversation
Our conversation went from wanting everything, to recalling things from last Christmas to thinking that Santa will be dressed in blue this year! In my 30 years of knowing Santa I have only seen him dressed in a red suit! (yes, I still believe b/c Mom always told us that once you stop believing you don't get 'nothin!) Yes, I have seen different races of 'Santa', but never before have I seen one in a blue suit. After putting Bubba to bed tonight, my wondering mind wondered if there was a 'blue' Santa. So, leave it to google! Here's what I found when I did an image search for 'Blue Santa'.
