Well, it finally got here....it's Friday!
To those of you who haven't heard about the remainder of my week....here it goes!
Son wakes up Thursday morning with the VIRUS again! This time it's coming from both ends of his cute little body! Dad (who's back has finally improved) agrees to take the morning shift and I'll take the afternoon shift of sitting with the sick son. As I'm heading out the door to leave for work, I decide I'd better throw some of son's soiled laundry into the washing machine. You're not going to believe this, but yes, when I go to start the washer....it just HUMS.......by this point in my week, I don't know where to cry, scream, or just HUM. I leave the washing maching troubles with dear hubby and head to school. Have our home appliances been possessed or what???????? Luckily, our local appliance store owner comes out and fixes this appliance....thank goodness!!!
Friday morning rolls around, son is still SICK.....not bad, but just enough that I know better than to send him to the sitter's house!! So, dear hubby agrees once again to tend to sick son (thank you!!).
Friday evening comes around......I am picking up things in the back part of the house and I notice that I smell something burning. A few minutes later my husband notices it too. I'm thinking...what is going to break next! Sure enough, our central heating/cooling unit has problems now!!!! Friday evening, another cold front blowing in...and no heat.....sounds GREAT.
Luckily, the repairman for this appliance calls us at 8:00 on a Friday night...tells my husband how to 'rig-it' so that it will get us by 'til Monday.
This has been a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD WEEK to say the least!!!!!
Even through this horrible week, I've had to thank God for our blessings. I am so thankful that we have our jobs so that we can fund all of these emergencies in life....especially right here at Christmas time. I know there are many families that are less fortunate. I realize they struggle to buy ONE gift for their children, and may NEVER have heat in their homes, and have to travel to the laundry mat each week. We are blessed to be able to still have Christmas, a new stove, a repaired washing machine, and eventually new paint in the kitchen. Thank you God for blessing us.....even if it "seems" like we are at a BAD moment in life! Compared to others in the world, my life isnt' bad.....I just take many things for granted.

Maybe you shouldn't go to the game today. Your luck might be contagious.
Just kidding!
I love how you can still see how blessed you are, even in the middle of your very own series of unfortunate events.
And I was not complaining on my blog about all the teachers leaving before Brookie was picked up. I was complaining a out Dave forgetting her and mentioned that the teachers were all gone to illustrate just how late he was. It was UIL day and so many of the teachers were out. That's why nobody noticed her running amuck.
Christy-
I'm not going to the game! Hopefully I'll keep all bad luck away!!
All of the kids have been sick, so I'm not even taking them out in the cold. I want them all well for our Christmas marathon that begins a week from today!! With, what seems to be, 20 family Christmas celebrations in a matter of about 3 days, I know we won't have time for the kids to be sick!
It will kill me to listen to the game on the radio, but I know that have to do what's best for my kids!!
We plan on going over to my mom's house to do some holiday baking since my new oven hasn't arrived yet!
Have fun if y'all go to the game! Cheer for us!
