My Job

Wow, September has flown by. Many of my blogger friends have asked for updates. Well, life has been rather calm around here for a change! Nothing exciting/scary/crazy has happened to us lately! Or maybe it's just that I'm a much calmer person than I used to be!

In case you're wondering, YES, YES, YES I love my new job. I can't tell you how thankful I am to be able to do what I'm doing now. Here are some reasons that I love my job:

1. I don't have to be at work until 8:00!!!!! No more leaving the house at 7:20!
2. I have time to cook breakfast each morning before we leave!
3. It's so nice to be at home and do laundry while the sun is shining outside!
4. I can play a game of Scrabble Junior with Emily! (During the week at that!)
5. I can help with HizKidz at church! Teaching 20-25 preschoolers each week is FUN...not stressful!
6. I can drive a sick child to the pediatrician's office 75 miles away...get home before supper time.....and not get docked at work!
7. I am responsible for getting OUR 3 kids to the car safely after our weekly pep rally!
8. I can read my Bible Study and my Sunday School Lesson while kids are taking their afternoon nap!
9. The opportunity is there to exercise, but I'm not dedicated....but the opportunity is there!!!!
10. I get to sing (not that great, but it really doesn't matter!)/dance/have FUN at school as opposed to being pressured with TAKS objectives/tests!
11. I enjoy our children at home b/c school doesn't stress me out any more!!
12. We can go and watch a friend play soccer just because we want to!
13. We can go to Lubbock for the weekend and not have to worry about the laundry because it can wait til Monday afternoon!


Here's what I've found that I'm not crazy about:
1. FEWER TRIPS TO KOHLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Not seeing my co-teachers at school as often as I'd like to!

As you can see, I can only come up with about 2 negative things! But those are only itty, bitty things, so I know it's going to be OKAY! I can already predict the news in the upcoming weeks: Kohl's is going to be the next business to ask the government for a bailout b/c I'm not spending near as much money there now!! They are going to go BROKE because of me!!
