Day One of VBS~Always Be Thankful

Wow! Day One of VBS is already over. We had 80+ children (25 of those were PRESCHOOLERS) attend our city-wide VBS today!!

Each year I stress, stress, and stress some more during the days leading up to VBS because as the Preschool Director there's lots of pre-VBS stuff that happens! Once VBS actually gets rolling on Day One, I'm always able to sit back (well, sort of!) and watch God work!

I usually thank everyone after VBS is over, but since today's Bible Point was 'Jesus gives us the power to be thankful' and our Power Verse was 'Always be thankful' Colossians 3:15, I thought it would be okay to say thank you now!

VBS would not be what it is without the help from many, many, many people from our community. I could list each name, but I KNOW that I would forget someone, and then they would have their feelings hurt!

So, I'll just say a big THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to anyone who has, who is, or who will be helping with this year's VBS. Many people donate supplies; many donate their time to help decorate; many volunteer their time to help with crews or be station leaders; many grandparents invite their grandchildren to stay with them this week so that their grandchildren may attend; etc. But there are even more people in our community that are lifting up our VBS through prayer. Keep on praying, because the Lord is going to be at work this week at Power Lab VBS!

I do need to say a special thank you to my family for dealing with a CRANKY STRESSED OUT WIFE/MOM the past few days. My dear husband has done more than his fair share of parenting these past few days so that I could get all of my things in order for VBS!

More to come.......
