Sunday Morning Sanity

Many Sunday mornings, I wonder if I'll be able to keep my sanity! I just don't seem to understand how I can get us all ready and out the door by 7:30 each weekday morning, but I just can't seem to get it together on Sunday mornings! I have 2 1/2 extra hours and we are almost late to Sunday school each week! By the time I've gotten everyone dressed and ready, I NEED to repent as soon as I walk through the church doors!
Even though it's crazy in our household each Sunday morning, I would not want it any other way! Here's a picture that we took right before we headed for Sunday school this morning.

I have the same Sunday morning problem. Wait. I have that problem every day!!

I was just thinking yesterday as I got my family ready for Church that it is a good thing I wasn't Mary. Jesus would have been late for everything and I'd have been having to repent (to my own child I guess) for acting like a loon in the mornings when we were running late. I can hear it now...

'If I have to tell you one more time to put your shoes on Jesus then there will be NO TV FOR A WEEK!'

Somehow I think God knew what He was doing when He chose Mary.

(As always your children look adorable).

I'm always afraid that as people arrive at church, they can hear me yelling at my children!

I know how to keep Sunday morning from being a total meltdown (being organized the night before with clothes, tithe check, etc) but I never get it together enough to make that happen. The advantage I have is that even if I'm not completely ready, I can get the boys ready and send them on to church by themselves, while I stick around and finish up. In fact, those 10 minutes on Sunday morning are often the only times I'm completely alone all week. It's WONDERFUL.

So, those of you who attend my church, if I'm late on Sunday mornings, you know it's because I spent a little longer by MYSELF at home!

By the way, your clock is set for a different time zone. I promise, I am blogging while your kids nap, not while they eat lunch!!!!

I personally found Andi's tip of the week very helpful. The one about putting outfits that go together on the same hanger so we don't have to fuss over what to wear and what matches. And, ya know, it's working quite well with the hubby!

haha

We have been late to Sunday School every Sunday forthe past 4 years...I am really not exaggerating. Ask my mom who is always there gettig evrything ready to teach our class. Sam says us being late is okay as long as we beat Pam Reed there.

Sandi/Andi - are you texting and driving at the same time?

That is hilarious what Sam says about Pam Reed! That's how everyone in the class feels. You just have to beat Pam or Lyndle!
